About the Course

"Think and Wonder"is an engaging and thought-provoking course designed for our Sprouts. This class introduces the fascinating world of philosophy, encouraging young learners to explore fundamental questions about life, existence, and knowledge.


Course Highlights:


Introduction to Philosophy:

  • Exploring the big questions philosophers ask about existence, reality, and human experience.


Exploring Fundamental Questions:

  • Encouraging students to think deeply about these questions and how they relate to their own lives and experiences.


Philosophical Thinking and Reasoning:

  • Practicing logical reasoning skills through discussions, debates, and thought experiments.


Famous Philosophers and Their Ideas:

  • Learning about key philosophers from history and their contributions to philosophical thought, including figures like Ptahhotep, Socrates, Aristotle,W.E.B. DuBois and others.

  • Exploring their ideas and how they have influenced modern thinking.


Philosophical Dialogues:

  • Engaging in dialogues and discussions that simulate philosophical debates and conversations.

  • Practicing how to articulate and defend their own viewpoints while considering opposing perspectives.


Creative Philosophical Projects:

  • Participating in creative projects that allow students to express their philosophical ideas, such as writing philosophical essays, creating artwork inspired by philosophical themes, or designing thought-provoking scenarios.


Ethics and Decision-Making:

  • Analyzing real-life scenarios and considering various ethical perspectives to make thoughtful and informed choices.


Connecting Philosophy to Everyday Life:
